Invitation

By Sandra Hosking

Bring forth your strange.
Welcome the inexplicable.
Show it to the sitting room.
Offer it a cold glass of lemonade
Or boysenberry wine.
Ask how it likes the spring
And where it plans to summer.
But do not ask the awesome
To explain itself.
