Spokane, Washington’s Stage Left Theater will produce the world premiere of MAD UNDERGROUND, a comedy by playwright Sandra Hosking, in September 2026.
The play follows a young boy Alick who is lost in the underground of an amusement park in 1963 where he meets a cast of strange characters including a washed-up old princess and a sarcastic donkey. He embarks on a journey through the dark underbelly and discovers who he is.
Mad Underground, which received a staged reading by Spokane Playwrights Laboratory in 2022, will run Sept. 11 to 27, 2026, at Stage Left.
Stage Left’s mission is to tell stories, build community, and pursue equity through the production of new and existing theatrical works.
